About Cerebrus
Cerebrus is an automation systems engineering and design firm based in Hillsborough, New Jersey. Since 2008, we have designed and built custom machinery, robotics, electromechanical devices, and control systems for manufacturers who need equipment that does not exist off the shelf.
Cerebrus was founded in 2008 as a full-service automation engineering firm. From the start, the goal was to keep every engineering discipline a custom machine requires — mechanical, electrical, embedded, and controls — under one roof, so clients could work with a single accountable partner from concept through production rather than coordinating a chain of specialized vendors.
That multidisciplinary, in-house model is still what defines us. We take a production problem, a specification, or an early concept and carry it all the way to installed, commissioned equipment: designing the mechanics, the electronics, the software, and the control system as one integrated whole, then building and testing it in our own shop.
We operate under an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and run a UL 508A listed control panel shop, so our engineering and manufacturing processes are documented, repeatable, and properly rated. That discipline is why medical, defense, automotive, education, and industrial clients trust us with demanding, quality-critical work.
